I might regret this
Thanks for the suggestions of favourite books - keep ‘em coming!
Today I decided to extend the idea beyond the realm of books, and added a whole new section to my site: The Great Favourite Things Experiment! You can still suggest your favourite book, but you can suggest your favourite anything-else too (either in the comments of these blog entries or on the Favourite Things page), and I will attempt to experience them all. Movies, plays, religious sects, martial arts… use your imagination!
Despite my aversion to web pages that play music, I was sorely tempted to have These Are a Few of My Favourite Things from The Sound of Music playing in the background. In the end I settled for a picture of Julie Andrews.
Other songs that seemed appropriate were I’d Do Anything from Oliver!, and I’m Clearly a Nutcase Who Hasn’t Thought This Through Properly from La Traviata.
