Yes, I got your postcard. I've been meaning to write ever since but there's so much going on here I haven't got round to it. First my tax disk ran out, which was a shame because my MOT certificate had expired six months previously so I couldn't get another one, so I got my MOT done, which failed, so I had to get things fixed before I could get an MOT certificate before I could get a tax disk, which by this point was about ten days late but fortunately I hadn't been stopped by the police in the meantime. And then I had an appointment at a hearing aid centre but they kept putting it off, so now it's on Monday. So by Tuesday I'll probably be about £2000 worse off (which is a shame, because I'm not altogether sure that I've got £2000).
